QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Elevate ISO 27001 Readiness Self-Assessment?

It is a structured workbook that lets an organization rate its own maturity against every ISO 27001:2022 requirement: the 30 management system clauses in Sections 4 to 10 and all 93 Annex A controls. It produces a maturity score by section and highlights where the largest gaps sit before a formal gap assessment.

What does the assessment cover?

It covers the full ISO 27001:2022 requirement set: 30 management system clauses and 93 Annex A controls organized across four themes, Organizational, People, Physical, and Technology controls. Each requirement includes the standard’s text and, where relevant, the evidence an assessor typically requests.

How does the maturity scoring work?

Each requirement is rated on a 1 to 5 maturity scale, from Nonexistent to Optimized. The workbook averages the scores for the management system and for each Annex A theme, so an organization can see its strongest and weakest areas at a glance.

Is this an official ISO 27001 certification?

No. It is a self-assessment working aid. Only a formal gap assessment or a certification audit by an accredited certification body produces an official result. The workbook helps an organization prepare for that process.

What happens after completing the workbook?

The Summary tab shows a maturity score by section and the areas with the largest gaps. Elevate offers a no-cost 30 minute readiness review to walk through the results and outline a practical path toward ISO 27001 certification.
